Our Client
Our client is a fast paced, high growth EPCM in the mineral processing plant design sector. They are a global company looking for a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design to grow the minerals team in Brisbane.

About the Role
• Multi-discipline co-ordination of the project design.
• Conduct periodic reviews of Project mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent.
• Approve, review and guide engineering designs, including calculations & design development.
• Develop technical documentation, including specifications and scopes of work using relevant industry standards and guidelines.
• Provide professional support to drafting team in the preparation of drawing deliverables.
• Assist with the delivery of accurate engineering lists including but not limited to: equipment, lubrication, spares, valves, pipeline, and special items.
• Maximise the productivity and efficiency of the discipline by scheduling and planning the appropriate allocation of resources to ensure deliverables are met.
• Contribute to engineers-in-training professional development by identifying avenues of development and provide consistent mentoring.
• Contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives which support business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 15 plus years of post graduate experience in mineral processing or related industries.
• Experience in gold, base metals or lithium will be considered favourably.
• CP Eng and RPEQ qualifications preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multi-disciplined teams.
• Proficient understanding of business acumen and ability to adapt to different business environments.
• Leader with the ability to initiate, lead and manage change in a complex environment.
• Attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of process optimisation.
• Commitment to providing quality service to clients within budget and time constraints.
• Willing to travel outside Australia on a periodic basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.
